Pros

Pay is good, Benefits are average. Not bad for a dead end job.

Cons

Company does not believe in training its employees,at least at my level. I have worked for some large companies (CDC, Accenture, Carlson companies), they all have offered training opportunities, be it seminar's, external vendor training. Not so in my section of ESI IT. Staffing is a joke, when sick, you are expected to work from home. Want a day off, one of your coworkers has to pick up your shift, resulting in a several 14 day weeks.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire some staff and offer the training

    Pros

Large company that tries to focus on pay for performance

    Cons

High school. Unless you are a self promoting social butterfly, then it does not matter how good you perform. Your boss does not even rate your performance. His or her peers rate you based on their superficial interactions. Also, most people don't stay longer than 6 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management tends to be arrogant and quick to make character assessments. Consider hiring some people out of their 30s to lead.

    Pros

Working at Medco was a pleasure. Medco had the client and customers best interest at heart and treated their employees well. THEN we were purchased by express

    Cons

Express scripts leadership seemed to be all about making money. Clients are not treated well and employees are treated worse, It's all smoke and mirrors...may look like a good place to work, but don't believe what they tell you. HR is the worst, upper management hasn't a clue of what is really going on and worse yet, they don't care. Just keep bringing the money in!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rethink your strategy. Clients want custom solutions . Not everything can be cookie cutter. And take care of your employes!
