okay

GSR (Current Employee) San Rafael, CA

Prosstarting pay is reasonable. hotel is very nice and the guests are terrific! Co-workers are great.

ConsA lot of employees have to pay a toll bridge fee to get to work. ($5.00) one way, , management does not compensate you for it AND you can't deduct it off your taxes. So, if you work 5 days a week, for 1 month, you have spent 100.00 a month in tolls just to get to work. So, if you make 1000.00 a month for example, DEDUCT $100.00 from it because of tolls. Also, they only have 2 full time employees there and the rest of us is part time. BUT, we work 40 hours a week! AND with no benefits!!! Go fiqure......

Advice to Senior Managementpay your gsr's more money (so that they can pay for the tolls) and give them the benefits they deserve and need .Instead of remodeling the hotel, give them a raise instead. Also, 1 more thing, Please help the assistant managers with the things that they need...i.e.... give them more of approval for spending for supplies, give the hard working asst. managers more pay and tell the GENERAL MANAGER to work a double shift when a employee calls in sick, NOT the asst. manager...Assistant managers have a life too!
