Pros

You don't realize how nice the work-life balance is at Exterran until you go somewhere else. I think the company does a great job in treating their employees well and developing engineers.

Cons

While other companies might send you to New York or Chicago for work, Exterran will send you to Midland, TX.

I have been working at Exterran

    Pros

-Exterran really cares about it's customers.
    -They area family friendly.
    -They love what they do.

    Cons

-It's a shame that Exterran has decided to hire outside the company rather than within. The persons who have been hired for upper management positions have added a greater burden to the regular employees because they have no idea what they are doing.
-They also hurt moral by not allowing for basic perks. For example, for some reason they hold off on bonus' and raises until after the holidays.
-Upper management is so disengaged that they are too busy to make an apprearance at the annual family picnic they host.
-Stocks are low...and so is moral.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring folks that are your pals and start hiring the folks who have given their all to you...your employees.
