I have been working at ExxonMobil full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

If you are willing to work hard and smart, you will be rewarded. The culture is tough, but manageable if you are a driven and self-starting employee. You also have the opportunity to be placed in challenging assignments across many lines of business and areas expertise without changing companies.

Cons

Ranking system is often portrayed as a negative; however, I would prefer the controlled and measured ranking system to having 1 person determine my promotions and career path. Relocation opportunities are often presented with little notice or flexibility.

Neutral Outlook
Approves of CEO

I worked at ExxonMobil as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

As an intern, your work is as valuable as everyone else's. You have the tools you need to learn and are expected to make a meaningful impact. The entire experience is a "try out" to be hired full-time

    Cons

Big corporations can be extremely slow and procedural. Expect simple tasks to take longer than necessary. This also makes the company naturally more resistant to change
