Pros

A good place for you to learn and practice. Good people to work with across the globe. A lot of job opportunities for you to grow up in this company.

Cons

Conservative and spent too much efforts in controlling things. There are so many documents to understand and comply.

I worked at ExxonMobil as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay is good. Working culture is good, one can basically ask questions or have open discussion when needed. Colleagues are friendly. Superiors are very willing to answer questions or give advice.

    Cons

No fixed working hours, but usually engineers or technical staffs work early morning to 6 or 7 pm. Less work life balance for certain role.

I worked at ExxonMobil full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Multicultural environment with good opportunities to travel. Very good salary.

    Cons

Professional knowledge and experience are not valued, they just care about silly things. As an example you can make real progress in the company by just making safety presentations, but forget about challenge. Once somebody told me to be aware of the golden handcuffs, they pay so well that even though your work sucks, you cannot leave it. The stupidity goes to such a level that they even put full size poster of a character called safetyman giving safety advices, I even had to see a coworker with a custom as safety man, with leggings and everything, kind of mediocre superman.
