Pros

Small number of layers in the organization Hard workers everywhere keeping everyone from feeling as though they are the only one rowing Feels like family in many groups adding to enjoyment of being here

Cons

Need more vision related messaging coming from above to help relay to customers

Advice to Management

Keep John McAdam. He has created trust with the employees and an approach-ability to the executive team.

    Pros

Good location Fantastic benefits Decent facilities Good reputation (for now)

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations from VPs to come in evenings and weekends to meet unrealistic release goals made my management, only to cut features to make the release date. This happens with every release. Very noisy atmosphere that makes it difficult to work.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to plan better and stop punishing employees for unattainable goals. Making ALL dev employees come in on weekends to meet goals they aren't contributing towards is ridiculous. Award system is completely unfair and arbitrary, investigate. Middle management is ineffective and apathetic. Do not just promote employees to mgmt because of seniority, promote because of leadership and people skills. Do NOT transition us to cubes that offer less privacy and more distractions than the current cubes. It is already difficult enough to concentrate. Sure fire way to decrease productivity. Allow development team to work from home without penalty! Free pizza does not make up for loss of family time.
