    Pros

    Location, Food, Pay, Benefits, Building

You must know the non-written rules before you can be successful.
HQ has very few college grads so it’s not a great place for young professionals and new ideas.

    Cons

Can be a very political environment.

I have been working at FDIC

    Pros

The hours are great, 40 a week and done. The information that you get is the equivalent of 30 years of banking in 3 years. All of the people I have come into contact with are very helpful and want me to succeed. All expenses paid while on bank exams including travel time. The job is very relaxed and the opportunities to grow are limitless.

    Cons

There is a lot of travel. 2-3 weeks out of the month. All corporate training is completed in Washington, D.C. Some of the work is complex depending on your experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management is different at each field office. For Shreveport, La it is great there are intelligent people with a great need to share their knowledge. They are very willing to let you get off when you need to and no questions asked. Casual about conversations with even the lowest of employees.
