FDIC has good a good compensation package. There are definitely opportunities for growth.
Cons
Has the standard downsides of any government job. Things can move slowly at time. You're not working with the best and the brightest. However, there are some bright people there and it is a very nice place to work. And things do tend to get done more quickly than at other government jobs I've been at.
