I worked at FEGS Wecare full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great Benefits. Vacation, Personal Time, and Health.

Cons

HR is not anonymous with staff complaints.
No opportunity for advancement, They only hire from outside without promoting from within.
Management has no idea what they are doing.
Staff morale is very low.
Management is very shady.
They work people out when they are dissatisfied.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your staff especially when they have ideas that could help.
Promote from within.
Offer incentives to staff.
Be 100% transparent across the board.
Be honest with your staff.

    I have been working at FEGS Wecare full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Employees of the “WeCare Program” are a Dream Come True. They work extremely hard and hardly ever complain. They get the work DONE….Benefits are “OK” when it comes down to the “Jewish Holidays/Vacation Time”

    Cons

    No raise in 3 years, union is not on the employees “side” major micro management and ZERO tolerance for mistakes and errors, program’s goal is “unrealistic” as they work you out for each second of your time at work, no time is provided to work on anything, it’s why there is an UN-BELIVABLE TURN OUT….interns, workers, and program supervisors are leaving the FEGS WeCare program like never before

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To revise the program goal/new contract….how can employees “do their job efficiently” if there is NO time in between clients. Stop freezing positions and hiring interns

    I have been working at FEGS Wecare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Most of the departments work closely with each other and get along within the units. The amount of information and various system you must navigate are all very good for future employment. It's also very rewarding seeing the clients excel and become independent of welfare.

    Cons

    The Supervisors, Coordinators, Department heads. Everyone feels as if they could do the job of the next person better. Supervisors micro manage and will not back you in front of their superiors. It seems as if the Managers do not understand the plight of their staff, they don't understand the stress. It's a number oriented game these people play- no one cares for whats best for the client. And management will throw you under the bus to cover themselves. It's almost terrifying working here not knowing what your fate will be. Also you will be require to do several task outside of your job description, so be prepared.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Vouch for your teams! stand up for things that make no sense, be the voice your department deserves. Have a little more faith in your employees.
