good benefit, nice relationship. Time is flexible.

    I worked at FEV as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

    There is a chance to work with a very bright and diverse set of engineers. It is a great environment to develop new skill sets and establish networks with similar individuals

    Cons

    As this was a contract position, it was known to be a very temporary assignment, so networking was very important to keep my options open.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you plan to keep some high-value people on at the end of a contract, you need to be sure to have a concrete plan in place and clearly communicated to foster a sense of security and larger purpose.

    They expect employees to work a lot of hours with minimal compensation.

    In order to retain employees, you need to compensate them appropriately. You also need to allow employee room for advancement.
