Great place if you have someone to pay all your bills for you and it's a boys club.

ProsThe people you meet while working here are usually people who have the same outdoor interests as you and finding that is really nice. The learning opportunities are plenty, from personlized product knowledge meetings with certain company reps to the basic day one training that isn't just for day one. The best thing this company has to offer to its sales people is the discount on store products, the outdoors is something you have to passionate about to work here and it makes sense that they give you a chance to make your own experiences with out the high price tag.

ConsThe toughest part about the job is the pay, unless you get into a salary position the company doesn't really help you out that much, and you're not even considered for a full time position if you have a criminal record from back in your disillusioned youth. The discount is great but to make enough money to buy the equipment you want to, so that you can creat your own experiences is where most run into a wall. You work to pay for the equipment and then you work to pay for the time off to use the equipment. you spend more time working that you do enjying the outdoors, and wasn't that the reason you joined this sales team to begin with.

Advice to Senior ManagementSeek out more diversity, get an equipment rental program and show your staff that you value them and that they are not just worker drones.
