I worked at FHLBank San Francisco

    Pros

great benefits, solid company, no travel, pretty standard hours

    Cons

    Gee, where do I start?
    - horribly stressful for such a small company
    - process to the point of being just plain stupid
    - they follow ITIL to the pont of idiocy
    - management is not open and honest about direction
    - department heads (VP and SVP) often don't get along
    - for a 250 person company, the politics and process are stiffling and overwrought

I worked at FHLBank San Francisco

    Pros

It's an easy place to work. It's stable. It's a work-centric place, where employees just do their work and not much else. Very apolitical. Great place for a contractor. Office is in the heart of the financial district.

    Cons

Secretive management (VP-level and up). Little opportunity for career advancement. Slow promotion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it more dynamic for employees to work and participate in decision-making.

    No opinion of CEO
