I have been working at FICO

Pros

work is interesting, always have a lot new materials to learn. people are smart and take ownership of the work.

Cons

too many re-organizations within a short period of time, people have to re-build working relationships with co-workers and managers, also feel unsecure about their current positions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

increase communication from top leadership, clearly infrom all workers the direction this company is going. Also make sure to give specific goals to each group so that they know what to focus on.

    I worked at FICO

    Pros

Casual relaxed work environment. Some interesting projects. Pay was OK and benefits were good. Nice work location in San Diego office.

    Cons

Total lack of focus and product expertise in upper management. Does not recognize the value of quality employees or their technical skills and knowledge. Promotes based on politics and who you know. Recent downturn in economy lead to many layoffs which made coming to work everyday kind of nerve wracking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get programs in place to recognize your best employees and retain and reward them for doing a good job. Flush the overpaid slackers.
