Pros

Excellent benefits, competive salary, flexible work hours, challening work, never bored

Cons

Promotions can be hard to come by and are very competitive by nature. Long tenure of employees is a positive feature of the company but can mean you have to have lots of patience waiting for a promotion spot to open up.

Advice to Management

Strive to keep salaries above average to keep the above average employees. Employees are expected to be the best in the industry...should be paid the best too.

    Pros

    - Great benefits (insurance, fitness reimbursement, relocation assistance, etc)
    - Nice physical office environment (more offices than cubicles, quality furniture and technology equipment)
    - Very extensive, quality training for engineers
    - Flexible work arrangements
    - Stable career

    Cons

    - The managers at the office I worked for were incredibly selfish; they do not encourage your growth, they only look out for themselves
    - Talent is not rewarded; poor performance is not punished
    - Managers are not promoted based on merit or leadership abilities
    - Slow career advancement

    Advice to Management

Reward your talent or you will lose them. Encourage employee growth and promotion or you will lose them. Consider leadership qualities when promoting employees into management roles.

    Pros

Competetive benefit package. Great core hours.

    Cons

Very hard to advance. Not rewarded for your efforts unless the powers that be like you more than the other person. I've seen a lot of advancement for unseasoned workers. Those who are here longer tend to be looked over.

    Advice to Management

Look at what an individual truly contributes instead of only asking their manager. Some managers have the tendancy to pick and choose people in their department that they like and don't like. Also some managers antagonize and nit pick a person for their mistakes then pretend that it's okay to make mistakes. The environment and morale really is driven by management. I have to give the department I work in and the managers an F-.
