I worked at FM Global full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

FM is a great place to work with excellent benefits and a very laid back work environment.

Cons

I left due to lack of advancement opportunities. It could take decades to get your bosses job.. They weren’t too interested in having me work in other parts of the organization without taking a step down in positions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide opporunities to the employees that seek them or they will leave.

    Pros

It easy work and u can never really get fired. Not much stress. Good training grounds.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement even if your aengineer. Once u get out of the field, and become account engineer, you hit a ceiling. Company also only pays a very small amount for additional education. Overall annual compensation and benefits are very very low compared to industry!! The long timers are the people who were usually the B and C students in school and accepted mediocrity. Company is all about seniority rather than performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees better so they don't leave. And don't make promotion based on seniority!! Pay bonuses and raises based on performance and not on seniority.
