Pros

Good name. Seemingly solvent. Large enough to have advantages of scale. Starting to integrate globally.

Cons

Vicious political environment between management. Terrible culture. No respect for talent. Shark tank of people trying to keep their position. Talented senior people let go and replaced with hordes of junior associates who are paid low wages

Advice to Management

Way too many low-skilled, cheaply paid workers. Keep and nurture your talent - listen to the innovators. Don't reward the snakes for back room politics - reward talent and creativity. FTI culture lacks authenticity and trust. FTI needs a better conscience towards its employees. The sectors terribly siloed due to competition over clients and territories.

    Pros

Young employee base, room for advancement, solid work/life balance (20 PTO days per year plus 3 floating holidays, 25 PTO days per year after 2 years on the job)

    Cons

Low pay at the junior level

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees more

    Pros

Lots of freedom and responsibility quite early on regardless of level and experience.
Complex and challenging client problems on every project - SMD's do a good job of pushing team members to develop the solutions and present directly to the client.
Very much a merit based culture and "work hard play hard" attitude amongst teams.
Practice leaders understand what it takes to grow the business and are willing to invest in new service offerings and in team member development

    Cons

Compensation appears fair and at market level but is not a transparent process
Experience and culture can vary significantly by practice and office - not enough consistency globally.

    Advice to Management

Come visit the core offices and make an effort to know your employees below the SMD level. Don't spend all your time in West Palm Beach.
