I have been working at FXCM

Pros

Great in you want to learn about the FX Market
Is a good stepping stone job to another company after 1 year

Cons

Management doesn't know how to teach real sales skills
So, if you don't already know how to sell, it's going to be hard work
Compensation is pitiful

    Pros

Great Management, learn a lot in regards to the various financial markets. Meet some impressive traders, and build your sales skills in a competitive but not a cut throat environment.

    Cons

US offices must work a graveyard shift. We have overseas offices that could do this job and that would boost morale on the US desk.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    All in all, great job.

I have been working at FXCM

    Pros

great company with a great management team that has a good vision of what to do to expand grwoth within the industry and take increasing market share.

    Cons

Low Starting salary. Compensation structure for sales leaves a lot to be desired. Limited travel opportunities for a company which has numerous international offices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think we have a very short term focus in terms of how we handle some of our clients. The fact that we have micro accounts and many of those clients are quickly losing their money and not coming back to is probably not a good thing in terms of long term sustainability.
