Pros

The company culture embraces independence, quick problem solving, strong communication skills. There is a strong work hard, play hard mentality. Making mistakes is okay as long as we take ownership and fix up our own messes.

Cons

While it's doable to maintain a good work life balance, it's also easy to get sucked into working long hours. This is a combination of: employee interest in resolving an issue/implementing a feature, poor documentation, and unspoken pressure to take part in endless hackathons.

    Pros

Top quality engineers, management who doesn't slow you down or want to track every time you take a poop. Seriously, this place was built for speed. They empower the engineer and allow you to do what you need to get done without fear. At first I just assumed this was like every other corporation who claims to empower their employees and move fast. Nobody wants to move slow but Facebook is serious. It really is different here and in a great way.

    Cons

People tend to want to tell you about how they hate facebook or how they don't use it because "xyz" when they find out you work there. I've just started telling people I work at the NSA spying on their porn browsing habits.

The other major con is Zuck never responded to my friend request. I feel so rejected.

I do wish they had a daycare..

    Advice to Management

Keep the agility and openness. The Q&A's are amazing and make me feel like I am apart of the company.

    Pros

The campus is beautiful. The work is immediately gratifying, as you're working on the website/app that literally over a billion people use the world over. The people are great, the food is free and incredible, and the benefits and perks in general are flat out impeccable. The work is challenging, and you're always growing. This place definitely has got many, many strengths.

    Cons

The work-life balance can be difficult. You're judged by the amount of work you put out, which is fair, but to keep up you may need to regularly work 10 hours per day. I'd often see people put in even more hours each day. But then again, if you're incredibly skilled, you could probably get away with less than 8 hours per day.

    Advice to Management

You're making smart decisions. Keep doing that.
