Pros

Challenges, Compensation, and Community. I really loved working with the people there and overcoming tough technical challenges.

Cons

"Slow and steady wins the race". I fell like senior management doesn't take enough risks to stay relevant in a highly competitive market.

Advice to Management

Be more aggressive

Always a great business model; almost always solid management; but recently a tough industry segment

    Pros

Culture is overall strong and positive but varies by office. The people are extremely nice, rather smart and collaborative. Like everywhere, if you are really good you can kill it here over the long haul. Middle pack performers probably lag industry peers and the bottom gets flushed maybe a little too slow. Benefits are very good, cash pay is OK, but stock options are the key driver of wealth creation here. And that takes time. Senior Management is very capable and aided by a solid revenue model. Overall, great risk/reward career opportunity.

    Cons

Process transition from small to mid-size company still under way. Slightly less investment decision delegation than ideal. Not a get rich quick kind of place. Fairly competitive industry. Hard to explain to your Mom what we do here.

    Advice to Management

Delegate just a little more. Trust a layer lower. More faith in those closest to clients.

    Pros

Great work-life balance. Great opportunities for professional grow if you are in the right team/product. Good medical and dental insurance. Good corporate culture. Good perks, free lunch in cafeteria on Mon-Thur, snacks, sodas and so on.

    Cons

Some products/groups are using very outdated technology and many others are using just outdated. Too much emphasis on 'loyalty' - time with company, it's blocking career opportunity for experienced engineers from the 'industry'.

    Advice to Management

Be more open for outside influence.
