Fair Isaac – “New management has killed morale - do you really want to work there?

Oct 31, 2008

Fair Isaac Anonymous in San Rafael, CA:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

It is a pretty relaxed environment. No real thinking required as you plug-in numbers into software. Get to house sit for your manager while she is traveling to Europe. Very lax telecommute policies - sometimes it made me wonder if my managers really "worked" from home.

Cons

Mostly the lack of professional advancement, the below-market salaries, and the way that employees are treated as monkeys on tasks, decisions. You get highly rated only during promotion time which is governed by seniority rather than true performance. Skills you learn on the job are predominately non-transferable.

Advice to Senior Management

FI used to be a great place to work at because the company really cared about the welfare of its employees. Most employees would enjoy job stability with an associated hit on salary. This is not the case anymore - you have pushed all the talent away and have turned great employer into a yet just another lousy outsourcing employee hating organization.
