I have been working at Fairfield University full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The professors and staff are some of the most dedicated people I have ever met and have had the privilege to know.

    Cons

There are just too many chiefs - people are getting promotions and "huge" salary increases of close to 20% while the worker bees are ignored and more worked is given to us to do because the chiefs are too important now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The worker bees are the backbone of any business - they should be treated with respect. The grounds crew voted in a union on campus. Believe me when they reach an agreement with the University - I hope the Union will look to see if the worker bees can join to. I am sorry to say, I think that is the only way of getting any social justice (look in your own backyard first) that the Jesuits say is so important when it comes to work and wage compensation.
