I worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Destinations Package, significantly discounted rooms
Benefits, very strong and important offers
Competitive Pay, in line with or above industry average

    Cons

    Scheduling is inconsistent
Long Term employees get away with murder
Executives are a joke and disconnected from day to day operations
    Live to work philosophy
No investment in staff, due to high turnover
    A negative culture/atmosphere
Employees can essentially waste away in positions without any promotion

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Back of house is a disgrace to good cooking with a miserable team and entitled executive. You will never retain good employees unless significant internal changes are made. No one in the back respects their superiors because they rarely take part in the daily operations.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
