I worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

Great perks, really try to make employees happy, opportunities to move up, awesome way to travel and meet tonnes of people from different countries, able to save lots of money as a student

Cons

Seemed understaffed, sometimes negative atmosphere, worked long hours, high expectations in exceeding service standards but overall I had a great experience

I have been working at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a company that wants to see people grow and wants to give them a reason to stay. People get great benefits to boot (regardless of position too), opportunities for educational assistance and training, and a place of work where your managers/supervisors are interested in seeing you move upwards.

    Cons

Sometimes work can be incredibly busy, and work/life balance suffers a bit for it. If you are hoping for a job that has consistent hours this isn't it.

I worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The perks, working for a "luxury" brand hotel,

    Cons

everything else, I didn't feel special working there. I felt like just because Fairmont has such a good name that they try to up keep the brand image but don't work on the small details such as making sure the employees are happy
