I worked at Fannie Mae full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice people, interesting work, good location, good pay and benefits.

    Cons

Executive management is eliminating full-time positions and making the layoff survivors do more work to take up the slack. This has created an atmosphere of fear and desperation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire people for "permanent" positions and then lay them off less than a year later in a misguided attempt to save money in the short term. In the long term the cost to the company will be much greater than the benefits.
