    Pros

Good work/life balance and salary. Not required to work every weekend.

    Cons

Long-term prospects of firm are uncertain with all the potential regulatory changes to dissolve it.
Company values are in the toilet as HR and Legal turn a blind eye to unethical practices in hiring, firing, promotions and demotions. The firm is not held to corporate nor government personnel standards.

    Advice to Management

Clean up the 'old boys network' corporate culture and ensure that people are placed in jobs in which they have actual job qualifications and experience. Stop the kickbacks to senior executives for hiring contractors.

    Pros

Benefits and "decent" compensation. Decent work life balance. Good "foot in the door" job but most of the time can only transition if you know someone.

    Cons

Too much favoritism, they hire who they want over qualifications (their own referrals), no room for growth. Continuously adding to job description with no change in compensation.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees, stand up to YOUR upper management and just don't agree with everything thrown at you. Consider the job we handle (for this position) and know it can be stressful and affect your life outside of work. Have more room for growth and allow for training/career development to broaden your knowledge outside of the regular scope of work. Have better compensation considering the cost of living in dc/md/va and job stress. The retention rate is very low in this department mainly due to management. Hire based on qualifications and work ethic! Great company, sorry department.
