Pros

The small congenial atmosphere of the credit union made it a pleasant place to work. The connection to Farmers Insurance could prove fruitful in the long term.

Cons

Manager was very insecure about her position and it resulted in a work force that operated consistently on the defensive, rather than being progressive.

I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group FCU full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good salary and competitive benefits. Growing company.

    Cons

Company does not think about the customer first and is moving more and more toward trying to cut corners. Company is constantly making changes and it is very hard to keep up and be succesful. They are more considered about the numbers than the person. Beware!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your staff who is out in the field. Stop making so many changes. When you do make changes make sure your staff is aware.
