Pros

big company, can transfer anywhere, company cars are a nice bene, gas cards, computers, training, history, vacation time, fun events

Cons

work life, vision, communication, strategy, favortism, honesty, top heavy structure, inexperienced managers, no room to grow, HellPoint, raises, expectations not reasonable

Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees openly and honestly and be open minded when they communicate the same way with you. Come and sit in our desk and do our jobs for a day managing upwards of a dozen people and having the phones ringing off the hook, all the while being asked to be more productive

    I worked at Farmers Insurance Group as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Taught decent sales tactics, Supportive Admin, District Training, Control Your Own Hours.

    Cons

    Poor Customer Retention (Too many apples to apples quotes), High Rates, Lack of Local Management Support, Poor Claims Payouts, Low Commission, Agent Subsidy Program. (Agent incurs every bit of overhead; office, marketing, mailings, leads, DMV reports, licensing, etc.)

    Advice to Management

    Create reasonable and attainable sales expectations. Revise your Career Agent Subsidy Program (Make clear that Agent is responsible to pay back if they do not complete the highest sales tier), Do not simply hire to make your quota. Bringing in a dozen new hires with terrible character ends in poor morale and unstable work environment.
