I worked at Fastenal full-time (more than an year)

Pros

The training was great, as was the support from management. They really made sure that you knew what you were doing and were able get out and make your sales.

Cons

I was in the top 10% of sales people in the company and making less than 35K a year. While there is room for growth, the positions are few and far between and the low pay does not encourage you to stick around long enough to get a promotion.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase the salary or commission for sales reps, it is the only thing that will keep talent.

    Great if you like the HUNT!

    Margins are set too high if you want to increase actives!

    You must allow sales reps to net new customers with low prices and then win them over with customer service while you increase pricing!
