I have been working at Fastenal part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to get raises at first, monthly bonuses are not difficult to get if you are a decent worker.

    Cons

Bad training, poor management, employees are told not to expect to work in the warehouse for more than a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees. If you have good workers, give them more raises, benefits, a reason to continue working for you and keep the warehouse running smoothly. The experienced employees who stay are the only reason the warehouse is running decently.

I have been working at Fastenal part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Money is really the only thing. But they expect you to work significantly harder than what you make.

    Cons

I have worked part time for 2 years and am now basically expected to run the department so the manager can go on break... for 4 hours. They expect you to work overtime if they need it. I have put in 57 hours in a single week there, my manager put in 40 that same week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually work instead of pushing it on to part timers
