I have been working at Faurecia as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

Good pay. Good management to help you grow. Especially if your new to automotive.

Cons

Different departments are behind in their work which hinders your ability to perform without mistakes. Expects too much from those who prove they are excellent workers. Horrible compensation for interns. My advice for interns: do not go above and beyond because you will get nothing for your efforts.

Advice to Management

Hire younger managers that can show their abilities. Take chances with younger workers.

I have been working at Faurecia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, great coworkers. Lots of interesting times to be had with the cultural mixture here. I had an excellent manager. Excellent job security akin to the French model.

    Cons

Compensation is barely average and benefits are expensive. Your French colleagues will disappear for most of July and August, but don't expect to receive much vacation time upon hire. The aforementioned cultural mixture often leads to gaps in communication and expectations. Managers and teams are spread out across continents, so the organization is frequently run as two dozen competing fiefdoms. The company has been having some profit-margin issues as of late, and it is wedded to Peugeot, which has been in even more dire straits for a number of years now.

    Advice to Management

Make people want to work here. Improve communications - work on integrating remote teams of personnel, otherwise they have zero net productivity at best.

  2. Intern for almost 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay for interns, but not up to par with OEMs. Many of the people are a lot of fun and interesting.

    Cons

They take their time with promotions and raises. Takes a long time for some people to notice you and respect you.
