Former Employee - Network Engineer  in  Encino, CA
Former Employee - Network Engineer in Encino, CA

Pros

Large variety of projects, software, and hardware to work on at a variety of clients. Backups and Disaster Recovery are taken very seriously. Monday status meetings are a great place for information-sharing and employee recognition. "Client Liason" is an *invaluable* asset to the employees, management, and company as a whole. Can work from home sometimes, if you play your cards right (and are not a dummy.) If you make it through the extensive interview & background vetting--be proud--not everyone makes it!

Cons

Nauseatingly-detailed "timesheets" are required for any and all billable hours. Extensive minutia must be manually configured on workstations and servers--even though it should be deployed via Group Policy (but few of the employees & managers know how.) Work/Personal balance is touted, but long hours are required (which can be compounded by commuting from the customer's office.) Some managers are quite closed to new (i.e., your,) ideas for improvement.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Check in with glassdoor every now and then, read the comments, and address some of the concerns at manager, employee, or company meetings.
