I worked at Feather River Hospital full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

A chance for introduction into the acute care transcription field in this 101 bed hospital.

Cons

Less opportunity to grow outside the initial H&P and consultations along with radiology.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

No longer a department at FRH, little to be said because of elimination of department..

I have been working at Feather River Hospital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Rural community with friendly employees.

    Cons

The healthcare reform is making the hospital make some significant changes, some of which have made working here less intriguing. The management is much more focused on the bottom line, then how they treat their employees. I've noticed over time how the employee satisfaction has decreased because of the many restrictions due to financial hardship. I hope they don't lose sight of theri committment to employees during this struggle to stay financially viable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember how hard it is to improve moral, and avoid decreasing it anymore.
