I have been working at FedBid

Pros

Since they work on a single website which they have to maintain so someone who is interested in doing same work for ever should be happy.
HR is kind off helpful .

Cons

Too monotonous.
IT team sucks. Some of the senior members consider themselves to be the whole and sole. No flexibility and managers have no power.
No appreciation for work and no performance review. If some one interested in going in the morning and coming in the evening without any motivation join the band.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have some transparency. At-least if someone (senior members) leave suddenly without any reasons please make people aware what is happening.
Please motivate .May you don't want to increase salaries but simple words will not charge anything.
IT team managers please motivate your team with encouraging words and some performance reviews.

I have been working at FedBid as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great training for the job. Class room style training for 2 weeks. Learn a lot about the procurement process and how the government works. You feel 100% prepared for the job that they place you in. Average pay.

    Cons

Promise of employment at the end of the internship. We had 100 people in our intern class, 10 got hired. They see you as very disposable and take advantage of you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat interns with more respect.
