Pros

Great pay for college student. Hard work - keeps you busy and in shape. Help pay for college. Very well run company.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about FedEx Ground. My experience working there was great. I worked the night shift 3am to 7am and then went to school afterwards. It was a great job that fit my schedule.

    Pros

Good pay, generally. If you get a good route, you might be able to get done earlier than a 12 hour day

    Cons

Major stress. Lots of rules that you can get disqualified for. FedEx calls the shots even though they are not supposed to be the "employers" for the contractors. They force you to sign contracts that make you do more or they will terminate your contract while you have spent hundreds of thousands on the route and the vehicles to get in there. They can ruin you, and they know it.

    Advice to Management

Have accountability for yourselves as well. Very easy to point a finger at drivers in the trenches from your safe office. Get our packages on the trucks in a timely manner and load the trucks correctly. If you don't, take care of it or allow the contractors to fine you the same as you fine the contractors for every small thing!
