I worked at FedEx

Pros

Health benefits for part time employees. The pay is comparable to competitors such as UPS. Stable company with great brand recognition.

Cons

Managers lack training on how to effectively deal with employees. Many of middle management has been with Fed Ex for a long time and may not have the best skills or managment tools, but a good grasp of the business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promoting from within is good for employee retention, but not always good for competent managment. Also headquarters in Memphis make it hard to attract top talent as it is not most desireable city to live in.
