I worked at FedEx full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great company to Intern with. Intern Program is well put together. Software Development Teams are very knowledgeable and helpful. Interns are given Actual Important Software Projects to work on/complete. FedEx Services defiantly looks to hire their Interns first, for full-time employment (after college graduation). Everyone is very nice. Corporate Campus included Basketball courts, Volleyball Courts, and a Work Out Gym.

Cons

There really are no cons from my experience. Interns were even allowed to take unpaid vacation days if they wanted to.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work.

I have been working at FedEx full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Friendly and positive corporate culture; reasonable work-life balance; respect for diversity; job stability; comfortable working environment. It's a great place to work.

    Cons

As with every corporate job, politics sometimes wins over the best solution, and favoritism can sometimes affect promotions and recognition. Most of the time when managers post a position they already know who they will choose. You can easily get stuck in one area of the company because of your assignments and find you are not able to compete for jobs in another.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should change the way you solicit input from individual contributors to allow more real communication. You should do more to facilitate lateral movement so people don't get stuck in their jobs.
