A fascinating experience that has taught me much and has made me grow not only as a person, but as an individual.

    Pros

Two of the best reasons to work at FedEx are teamwork and learning. As a team in the Memphis Hub, our collective goal is make sure our customers are satisfied. Working together allows us to achieve this. Learning allows us to better perform our duties( individual and other wise) efficiently. Knowing our customers needs and being able to both execute a plan and anticipate change means we will succeed at our duties. Teamwork and learning are two of the most important experiences at the Memphis World Hub.

    Cons

There are always things that some will be dissatisfied with....maintaining focus in these situations is key. You will also need a rain suit and extra layers as the temperature drops :)

    Advice to Management

Work with us and keep us informed.

  2. Great benefits....the people policy is declining.

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits. Extensive training. Holiday pay, sick pay, vacation pay, and floating as need off pay days. Opportunity for advancement and transfers. Free air travel.

    Cons

Upper management has begun to micromanage since 2008. This has resulted in less teamwork and more focus on individual performance. Work hours can be long and there's very little flexibility to take time off in emergency situations...sick child, etc. You have to bid on vacation time once a year, senior employees get first choice leaving crappy options for newer employes.

    Advice to Management

Return to the people first policy. When your employees are happy and loyal you're customers will be too.
