FedEx – “FedEx: Employment at you peril.”

Pros

FedEx is a satisfactory job to start with as a young person, but beware. It will take the average driver (courier) over ten years to "top out" at pay. FedEx is best to be used as a job to supplement full time college courses while working towards a degree. When said degree is achieved, run don't walk away from FedEx.

Cons

Slavish work atmosphere. Negativity at all times from management concerning your job performance. Rampant favoritism by management towards selected employees. Zero tolerance for mistakes. Failure of this company to keep pace with the cost of living. The worst couriers go into management, perpetuating the "us vs. them" (courier vs. management) mentality. Courier pay stagnates, management pay increases.

Advice to Senior Management

We, the drivers of FedEx, are what makes this company run and prosper. Every time you (upper management) makes a foolish business decision, you take your bad decision out of us, ie cut our work hours, ask the impossible and ratchet up the pressure to make up for your folly. All the while you get large pay bonuses for taking food from our mouths.
