I worked at FedEx full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

As an IT analyst, I had opportunities to change career direction and specialties every 3-5 years. Management has re-focused on PSP Philosophy - Take care of People, people provide great Service for customers, leading to Profit for shareholders. Recent voluntary buy-out offer will provide more opportunities for remaining staff.

Cons

Downsizing from voluntary buy-out may result in a dynamic environment for a while.

Advice to Management

Make sure remaining senior management sincerely supports long term strategies.

    Pros

Fedex pays tuition assistance of up to three thousand dollars a year. They also provide basic benefits despite being only part time.

    Cons

The biggest draw back is starting at 4 am. Work outside in the cold. Amount of hours worked varies greatly per week.

  2. Work environment and culture is great, but salary is low and not enough growth opportunities.

I have been working at FedEx full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

One of the most admired companies with global reputation and strong C-level leadership.

    Cons

IT side growth opportunities are few and far between, especially in Dallas.

    Advice to Management

Don't put a limit for promotions into EB3 - there are lot more qualified people stuck in EB2 and there have not been enough opporunities!
