I have been working at FedEx full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great work life balance and generally competent nice people. Executive management treats workers with respect.

Cons

Because it is such a large organization there is a ton of bureaucracy. Knowing who to call and what to ask is one of the most important skills at FedEx.

I worked at FedEx (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most people have a great attitude and really want to work to make this company great.

    Cons

The company keeps changing philosophies and just when you get used to following one way of doing things, it all changes. A lot of people get promoted without deserving it and those who do deserve it get passed over. Managers are not qualified for their positions, going through mentoring and training after they have the position and in the meantime they have messed things up and blame their direct reports for their mistakes.

    Advice to Management

Management applicants need to go through a more rigorous training before getting the management position. The direct reports should be able to determine whether they stay in that position.
