Current Employee - Package Handler Part-time in South Houston, TX
Current Employee - Package Handler Part-time in South Houston, TX

I have been working at FedEx part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Benefits, Fed Ex pays at most a weeks vacation. If you are a student you have the opportunity to apply for tuition reimbursement, but you must be passing classes.
Managers are understanding and are cool if you ask for a day off, like most jobs though you can't be missing too much days.

    Cons

Work is fast paced, you have constant work. The part time job of 24 hours weekly feels like a full time job at times because of the hard labor. If you go for a quick break to the restroom the boxes pile up and you have to work even faster to catch up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Package Handlers should be observed by management and picked out to receive raise's based on performance. Because certain people work really hard and are not noticed and end of quitting. A package handler of the month wooden award is not enough.
