I have been working at Federal Government

    Pros

excellent pay for level of performance required. Can do very, very little but rewards are high. Pay is much higher in at management level than that of our counter parts in the civilian sector.

    Cons

make work atmosphere, too much waste and not always enough meaningful tasks which can lead to a long boring day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

concentrate more on performance and necessary actions rather than visibility for promotion. Not everyone is a self starter and cannot be concerned with upsetting non-performers because of race, creed or color.

I have been working at Federal Government

    Pros

They offer stability and security. It is a market that stays constant with rare layoffs. The advancement process is fair. Offers lots of vacation time.

    Cons

Governed by outdated regulations that lags behind other industries when implementing new products or systems. Hierarchical system allows for disrespect of subordinates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always respect subordinates as they are the ones who perform many of the tasks that management can't do, won't do, or don't no how to do.
