    Pros

The job has perks such as four weeks of annual leave, pension, sick leave, teleworking and alternative working schedule.

    Cons

Requires substantial travel, and your client can be difficult at times. Also, the hours can be long during trials.

I have been working at Federal Government full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Supporting the folks that secure our freedom. The stability and benefits are better than average. A pension after 20 years of service is virtually unheard of in the private sector.

    Cons

No one is very interested in saving money, but the current fiscal environment may be a catalyst for change. A committment to continous process improvement is absent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adopt private sector business practices and embrace during more for less. Pay for performance is not to be despised, but use to attract and keep the best people.
