I worked at Federal Reserve Bank (NY) full-time (more than an year)

Pros

I worked in the research department of the NY Fed. Enjoyed the job quite a bit. Interesting work, very reasonable hours. The work felt like it contributed to meaningful decisions. Benefits were great (tuition reimbursement, subsidized meals, etc.).

Cons

Not much room to grow at the current position. Not really the fault of the company, just the nature of the job.

I have been working at Federal Reserve Bank (NY) full-time

    Pros

Generous benefits including excellent health plan, very good 401K, flexible working arrangements, very smart and dedicated colleagues, interesting and consequential work.

    Cons

Both junior and senior staff are treated badly. Officer class is catered to and pampered. Little mobility / movement among officers and this severely inhibits prospects of talented and ambitious senior staffers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage, insist and demand more movement from your directors - many of whom have been in place for too long and are clogging up promos and advancement for tru
    Y talented staffers.

    Neutral Outlook
