Rapidly hiring, especially from outside the Federal Reserve system (e.g. private industry).

Large organization hinders ability for rapid advancement
Bonuses smaller compared to private industry

    Really a 2/3 year position with not great opportunities to continue without graduate school

    + high name recongition
    + good exposure to importnat issues
    + relatively good compensation, very good work-life balance
    + generally a good group of people throughout the Bank
    + generally positive attitude toward employees

    Cons

    - lacks growth potential within the Bank
    - sometimes hierarchy could be felt
    - could be over-cautious at times when dealing with emerging issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    + provide more growth potential, especially for young talents if you want them to stay
    + reduce hierarchical structure
    + create rotational programs within the Bank to allow cross-exposure
