A great introduction into public finance, situated at the intersection of banking and public policy.

ProsPassionate people, relevance as an institution, and meaningful projects to contribute to. Upper level management is surprisingly accessible and approachable.

ConsOne must understand Fed employees are paid less relative to a private bank; but many derive more utility from knowing their work contributes to the management of a (hopefully) healthy economy.

    Great Benefits but very hierarchical and traditional - value loyalty and relationships over competence

    Pros: Great benefits, generous time off, relaxed work atmosphere, pension and… Cons: Value not rocking the boat, tradition, cultivating relationships and managing up. Silo'd and hierarchical. Staff do the work, managers… Advice to Senior Management: Too insulated and out of date. Reward results and hold… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

    Just because the benefits are good, does not mean its a good place to work

    Pros: Pension (But why would anyone work here for more than… Cons: Red Tape, Meetings, Meetings, Meetings, Slow Decision Making Process, Pretty uneducated and ill qualified… Advice to Senior Management: How about not wanting to meet for everything all the time.
