I worked at Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

    Pros

Research Department there has high-quality economists, and Research Associate position is a great opportunity to learn both academic and policy-oriented research. Perfect for anyone considering a Ph.D. in economics in the future.

    Cons

The downside of working at Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City may be that Kansas City is a small city and there is no direct flight to many international destinations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior people are doing great job. Promoting more interactions between different areas of research can be done in a more fruitful way.

I have been working at Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

    Pros

The organization has a very good pool of competent coworkers who make the job more fun. The benefits package is better than most in the banking industry, as are salaries.

    Cons

Management can be out of touch with employees and are slow to realize that they contribute to issues and morale problems within the office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce excess documentation that slows down many of our job tasks. Trust employees work and ask verification questions when needed.
