Pros

The company's positions offer job security, a comfortable work environment with current office technology, a complete suite of benefits including a retirement plan, and many opportunities for career growth throughout the Federal Reserve System.

Cons

The internal business processes need to be developed more. This is the same problem as at most companies.

Advice to Management

Management needs to invest time in developing more effective and efficient internal business processes.

    Pros

Very good work/life balance but you should be ready for some travel. The pay is okay. The job is not very challenging.

    Cons

buerochratic environment. people are highly risk averse to get out with what they do and show it to the broader organization (pretty much opposite of industry)

    Advice to Management

    none

You're on your own in a short-staffed high travel job, so advocate for yourself and take advantage of opportunities.

    Pros

Opportunities to learn if you push, lots of freedom and good work/life balance when you're not on the road, job security with good benefits like PTO.

    Cons

Below market monetary compensation, intense and inglorious travel schedules for a short-handed staff, lumbering slow-moving bureaucracy with little agency as everything must be vetted extensively, and a very insular management disconnected from staff. Decisions are often surprises without explanation, and some managers seem too preoccupied to become familiar with the staff they supervise. You are often thrown out on your own and it's up to you to stay above water as opposed to under the bus.

    Advice to Management

Hire more, pay more, empower more, explain more, and train more.
