I worked at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Wonderful atmosphere, attractive workforce, intellectually stimulating. You will be challenged ot thin both creatively and analtically on a variety of projects, each of which has very clear implications for the "big picture"

    Cons

Can be very elitist at times, competitive, not always accepting of those who "think outside the box". Upper management does not always give the support and mentorship it could.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more liberal in both criticism and praise; interact more with those at the bottom of your organization, and this will have positive reverberations throughout.
