Great company to work for, but not for everyone. Those looking for a social environment beware.

I have been working at Federal Reserve Board full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits - 401k, health insurance, pension, fitness facility & cafeteria. Pay is pretty competitive - maybe a little on the lower side starting off. Working from home is available to more employees when weather conditions are poor.

    Cons

Many supervisors are very young so you are their learning field.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has improved a lot through the years. Overall, they do a good job.

    Great place to work

I worked at Federal Reserve Board full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get what you put into it. Economists work really hard and will give you interesting projects once you've earned their trust. RAs aren't expected to work extremely long hours. Management is very flexible about vacation/telecommuting as long you're not asking for time off immediately before an FOMC meeting.

    Cons

-- As expected from a place like the Fed, there was a lot of office politics between the divisions and some between sections.
